O’Neill – Last week the O’Neill Eagles competed in the Mid-States Conference Cross Country Meet hosted by Boone Central at the Albion Golf Course.

The Lady Eagles finished sixth as team. Leading and medaling for the Eagles was freshman Ashley Dickau placing 12th. Rest of the team was Annie Corkle 21st, Faith Williamson 22nd, Yoselin Cayax 24th, Ally Sedlacek 34th, Nahomi Sunum 39th and Jace Gregory 48th.

The Eagle men’s team placed third. Leading the Eagles and medaling was junior Brady Thompson fifth. Rest of the team was Ty Rainforth 17th, Kullen Cartella 19th, Joe Yates 28th, Dylan Parks 41st, Kyler Dean 42nd, Jon Alden 48th, Servando Gonzalez 49th, Jerry Beall 53rd, Mikah Raymond 54th, Carter Hickey 63rd, Gus Laible 68th, Tyler Diediker 70th, Joel Costilla 73rd, Peyton Yates 74th, Enrique Sanchez 75th, and Ashton Burival 76th.

“As a whole we definitely have a better race in us. Next week we are going to rest and be ready to run our best race,” said Hilker.

Next week the O’Neill Eagles compete at the C-3 District hosted by Boone Central, held at the Albion Golf Course to see you will compete at the state championships held in Kearney, Oct. 23rd. Girls race will be at 4:30 p.m. and boy’s race at 5:10 p.m.
