Last week the O’Neill Eagles competed in the State Cross Country Championships. Ashley Dickau competed as an individual and the O’Neill Boys Team competed against fifteen other schools in Class C.

Ashley Dickau placed 69th overall. “For Ashley’s first state championship I felt she did well,” said Coach Hilker.

On the boy’s side, Eagle Cross Country competed as a team. The team placed 13th overall. Brady Thompson once again led the Eagles medaling, placing 10th overall. Ty Rainforth placed 51st, Kullen Cartella 60th, Kyler Dean 116th and Dylan Parks 117th.

“ I was proud of them. It hurt the team not having Joe Yates compete. Brady medaling was expected. Overall, we ran well. We have a young team and I can’t wait for next year,” said Coach Hilker.
