Going for the sack

BLOOMFIELD - The St. Mary's Cardinals took a thrashing with their 44-6 loss to the Bloomfield Bees last Friday, Aug. 31 in Bloomfield.

The Cardinals had six first downs on the evening with one penalty for 10 yards. The Bees had 12 first downs with eight penalties for 55 yards.

Quarterback Grady Semin had seven attempts for two completions. Aiden Hedstrom had two attempts for one completion for 11 yards.

Leading the Cardinal rushing was Grant Winkelbauer with nine carries fo 17 yards, Zach Crumly four carries for 14 yards, Gabe Pribil three carries for four yards, Aiden Hedstrom one carry for four yards. Grady Semin 16 carries for two yards and one touchdown and Tate Thompson one carry for two yards.

Leading receivers for St. Mary's were Winkelbauer with one catch for 11 yards, Jacob Wiese one catch for two yards and Crumly one catch for one yard.

Leading the Cardinal defense was Winkelbauer with 13 tackles, Hedstrom nine tackles, Wiese six tackles,  Cole Rosenkrans five tackles, Crumly, Grady Semin  and Tate Thompson four tackles, Isaiah Wiese and Connor Semin three tackles, Pribil and Jack Krotter two tackles and Jacob Pongratz one tackle.
