The O'Neill Eagles traveled to Battle Creek for a tough grid-iron challenge. The Eagles held the braves to 30 with the last score against the Eagles on the second string.

The Eagles offense struggled against the larger Battle Creek line but the defense didn't do that bad of a job holding the Braves to three in the first quarter and 16 at the half. The Eagles allowed only one score in the third and fourth quarters and the last one against the second team players.

Battle Creek ran 58 plays for 15 first downs and had four penalties for 45 yards. The Eagles ran 35 plays for four first downs and had only two penalties for 15 yards.

Brady Sidak had 15 attempts for seven completions.

Leading the rushing for the Eagles were Michael Poese with five carries for 16 yards; Sidak with five carries for 10 yards and Kolby Dean one carry for four yards.

Leading Receivers were: Peyton Mathews two catches for 16 yards; Keegan Moore one catch for 14 yards; Dean one catch for 10 yards; Sidak one catch for six yards and Poese one catch for four yards.

Poese led the defense with 16 tackles; Dean 12 tackles; Sidak 10 tackles; Matt Wilson eight tackles; Claw Shaw and Fabian Acevedo six tackles each; Riley Davis five tackles; Sean Conventry four tackles; Matt Pardun and Brandon Hopson three tackles each; Korbyn Grenier two tackles and Mathews and Landon Classen one tackle each.
