The weather played havoc on the holiday tournaments played last week. The O'Neill Eagles traveled to Stanton to take part in their tournament on Friday, Dec. 27.

On Tuesday, Dec. 17 the Eagles played host, this time to the Pierce Bluejays. The Eagles got off to a slow start, putting only five points on the board in the first quarter and four in the second. The Bluejays put up 10 and nine points to lead 19-9 going into halftime.

The St. Mary's Cardinal boys started their season on Friday, Dec.6 losing to Riverside at home 64-47. The boys had a tough go keeping pace with the Chargers. The Cardinals shot only 27 percent from the field in the match compared to the Chargers 51 percent.

The O'Neill Wrestling Invitational was held Dec. 7 at the O'Neill High School Gym. Nine teams competed in the event with O'Neill taking fifth.

Crofton - The O’Neill Cross Country Team competed Thursday, Oct. 10, at the Mid-States Conference Meet hosted by Crofton held at Wiegand State Park. The team ran in 25 mph wind with a windchill of 18 degrees.

STUART - The St. Mary's Cardinals came to town Thursday night ready to play and handed the Stuart Broncos a tough 36 point loss winnings 42-6.

The Lady Broncos played great competition this week, after losing Tuesday's game to CWC, the girls bounced back and took matches from Gregory in two sets and a scrappy team in Boyd County in three.

 The O’Neill Eagles hosted their own invitational on Thursday, Sept. 29 at the O'Neill Golf Course. The Eagles placed third in both the girls and boys varsity races.

The O'Neill Eagles traveled to Battle Creek for a tough grid-iron challenge. The Eagles held the braves to 30 with the last score against the Eagles on the second string.

The Stuart Lady Broncos volleyball team  swept their match with Ainsworth last Thursday, Aug. 29 winning in three sets. The Broncos fell to Twin Loup though going down in four sets.

To say the 20-13 football victory in O'Neill was a long drawn out ordeal is  an understatement. The game not drawn out for penalties but was drawn out by the weather.
