Last week the O’Neill Eagles competed at their own invitational held at the O’Neill Country Club placing fourth. The O’Neill Eagles hosted thirteen other schools. Over 150 high school athletes and 100 junior high athletes competed at the meet.
The O’Neill Lady Eagles built a five-run lead in the fourth inning and then held off Boone Central/Newman Grove’s charge for a 6-5 victory on Tuesday. Boone Central/Newman Grove scored three runs in the failed comeback on a error and a double by Madisyn Cunningham.
