Harvey Schake, age 83, of Chambers passed away Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.

Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, (today) Jan. 12, 2012, at the Bethany Presbyterian Church at rural Ewing with burial in the Chambers Cemetery.

Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill is in charge of arrangements.

Orville D. Ahrens, age 75, of Lincoln passed away at his home on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012.

Visitation was held at noon to 8 p.m. with family greeting friends from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, at the Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home in Lincoln.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, at the Christ Lutheran Church in Lincoln.

Entombment at Lincoln Memorial Park in Lincoln.

Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home in Lincoln were in charge of arrangements.

Orville was born on April 29, 1936 to George and Elsie (Ohlmann) Ahrens in Shelton. He grew up in Shelton and Kearney areas and graduated from Kearney High School.

Orville served with the U.S. Army in Scofield Barracks, Hawaii. He was married to Carolyn McKenzie on Nov. 2, 1984 in Garland.

He worked for many trucking firms, retiring from Consolidated Freightways in Nashville, TN after 25 years of service.

Orville was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Ahrens of Lincoln; two daughters, Jodi and son-in-law, Daniel Muratella of Lincoln and Tammie Ahrens of Paola, KS; one son, Jeffrey Ahrens of Branson, MO; stepson and spouse, Allan and Cheryl Silvers of Las Vegas, NV; stepdaughter, Debra Silvers of Lincoln; grandson, Tyler Ahrens of Lincoln; step granddaughters, Shelbie and Shayla Silvers of Las Vegas, NV; brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Mary Ann of Kearney; two sisters, Loretta Hadlock of Gibbon and Mae Truesdale of Sedalia, MO; sister-in-law, LaDonna Ahrens of Kearney; and many nieces and nephews.

Orville was preceded in death by his parents; brother, LaVern; and brother-in-law, Eli Truesdale.

Andrew "Andy" Bolling, age 30, of Clearwater passed away on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, in O'Neill.

Visitation was from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, at Concordia Lutheran Church in Clearwater  with Pastor Daniel Feusse officiating. Music was provided by the Clearwater Quartet and Caroline Jaeke, organist.

Pallbearers were his brothers, Matt Bolling, Dan Bolling, Seth Bolling, Adam Bolling and Nate Bolling.

Burial was in the Clearwater Cemetery.

Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater were in charge of arrangements. 

Andrew Kyle Bolling, son of Steven Bolling and Janette (Kruger) and Charlie Allemang, was born at Tilden on Aug. 14, 1981 and was called home by the Lord on Jan. 7, 2012. 

He was baptized on Aug. 23, 1981, and confirmed in the Christian faith on April 23, 1995 at Concordia Lutheran Church in Clearwater.

Andy graduation from Clearwater High School with the class of 1999. After graduation he worked for Dale Funk until he started his own construction business in 2008.

He was united in marriage to Jenny Pisarek on June 22, 2001, at O'Neill where they resided for a short time.

Since then, they have made their home in the Clearwater community. Throughout his life, Andy was an active member of the Concordia Lutheran Church and demonstrated his Christian faith by serving his Lord as head usher.

As everybody knew, Andy was a worker that never quit. His success can be seen around the area in the many building projects he accomplished in the few short years he was a contractor. When Andy wasn't working he enjoyed being with his family and hunting. His joy for hunting was Andy's passion and his sons were his heart. Andy not only knew people but he knew how to touch people and it started with his smile.

Survivors include his wife, Jenny and sons, Tyler and Benjamin, of Clearwater; his parents, Steven Bolling of  Tilden and Janette and Charlie Allemany of Clearwater; his parents-in-law, Larry and Darlene Pisarek of O'Neill; five brothers, Matthew (Amy) Bolling of Lincoln, Daniel (Michelle) Bolling of Brunswick, Seth (Sherrie) Bolling and Adam (Alisha) Bolling of Pierce, Nathan (Cassie) Bolling of Clearwater; grandparents, William and Alys Kruger of Clearwater, Lucille Allemang of Neligh, Noire Pisarek of Doylestown, PA, and Irene Isom of Spring Valley, CA. Also surviving Andy are seven nieces, six nephews, one great-niece and a host of relatives and friends. He will be missed by all those who knew him.

Preceding Andrew in death were his grandparents, Johnnie and Lavonna Bolling and Ted Allemang; uncles, Bryon Bolling and Michael Kruger; nephew, Justin Jonas and cousin, Wade Sullivan.

Donald (Skip) McKenny

Donald (Skip) McKenny, age 73, passed away Saturday, Dec. 24, 2011, at Northwest Medical Center in Arizona.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday Dec. 28, 2011, at the First Assembly of God Church, 18180 S. LaCanada Dr. in Sahuarita, AZ.

Skip was born on Dec. 23, 1938, in O'Neill. He graduated from O'Neill High School in 1957. He spent four years after graduation in the Navy.

Skip worked for State Farm Insurance for many years in the Denver area.

Skip is survived by his wife, Sylvia McKenny; children: Shane,  Nichelle, Jeff, Heather, Heath, Cindy and Gwen; his mother, Nell Carroll of O'Neill; brothers Frank of Omaha and Jim of Fort Collins, CO; grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
