Theresa Mary Nielsen, 69, of O'Neill died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020 in O'Neill at Arbor Care Center in O'Neill.

Visitation was held Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2020 at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill with a parish rosary.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2020 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in O'Neill. Frs. Rod Kneifl and Jim Kramper officiated. 

Pallbearers were Eric Nielsen, Nathan Nielsen, Norman Nielsen Jr., Matthew Nielsen, Albert Conway and Joseph Conway.

Burial was in the O'Neill Cemetery in O'Neill.

Memorials may be made to the family for future designation.

Theresa was born on Dec. 15, 1950 to Raymond and Anna Marie (Schiltz) Conway in O’Neill. She attended school at District 90 northwest of O’Neill through the eighth grade. She graduated from O’Neill St. Mary’s Catholic High School in 1970.

After graduation, she worked for the City of O’Neill as a part-time police dispatcher.  

While working in O’Neill, Theresa met Norman Nielsen. They were married on Sept. 1, 1973 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. To this union seven children were born Eric, Kimberly, Nathan, Melissa, Regina, Norman Jr. and Matthew.  

They lived in Lynch, until 1975 when they moved to an acreage near Inman. She stayed busy helping Norman with their business Nielsen Communications and raising their children.   

Theresa was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and she was active in the state and county Republican Party.  

She enjoyed attending religious retreats and traveling. 

Theresa is survived by her husband Norman of Inman; seven children Eric Nielsen of Inman, Kimberly (Matthew) Berggren of Shalimar, FL, Nathan (Sabrina) Nielsen of Lincoln, Melissa Nielsen of Omaha, Regina Nielsen of Atkinson, Norman (Tami) Nielsen Jr. of Bassett and Matthew (Heather) Nielsen of Lincoln; eight grandchildren Jacob, Luke, Kailey, Katelyn and Mark Berggren, Jordan and Jacqueline Nielsen and Beckham Nielsen; brothers Joseph (Linda)Conway of Havre, MT, and Albert (Carol) Conway of O’Neill; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Anna Conway and one brother Eugene Conway.
