Rose Marie Kizzire, 86, of O'Neill died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018 at O'Neill Care and Rehabilitation Center in O'Neill.
Visitation was held Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018 at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill with a prayer service.
Funeral services wer held Friday, Feb. 9, 2018 at First Christian Church in O'Neill. Rev. Wes Thompson officiated. Music was provided by pianist Deb Frederick and soloist Patricia Moore.
Pallbearers were Harry Charles Lampert III, Brian Lampert, Christopher Kizzire, Cody Kizzire, Cassidy Kizzire, Colton Kizzire and Clifford Kizzire.
Honorary pallbearers were Kaitlynn Kizzire, Heather Herlick, Carolyn Roseland, Patricia Moore and Kenneth Bouzek.
Burial was in the O'Neill Cemetery in O'Neill.
Memorials may be made to the church.
Rose Marie was born on March 23, 1931 to Bert and Vera (Sissel) Bartlett in Stafford, KS. The family moved to Alliance, and Rose Marie graduated from Alliance High School. She then attended Chadron State College in Chadron.
On March 23, 1954 she married Clifford Kizzire in Sydney. To this union three children were born Curtis, Corey and Lynnette. The family lived and farmed in the Bayard area. They moved to O’Neill in 1956 when Clifford took a job with the State of Nebraska as a patrol carrier enforcement officer.
Rose Marie liked to sew and made clothes for her family and others in the community. Clifford was an avid gardener and she canned most of the produce. She also enjoyed a variety of house plants and decorating in their home of many years.
She was a member of the First Christian Church in O’Neill.
Rose Marie is survived by three children Curtis (Linda) Kizzire of O’Neill, Corey (Cathy) Kizzire of Gillette, WY, and Lynnette Lampert of Norfolk; 12 grandchildren Heather (Adam) Herlick of Plattsmouth, Christopher (Apryl) Kizzire of Laurel, Cody Kizzire of O’Neill, Kaitlynn Kizzire and Carolyne (Scott) Roseland, all of Lincoln, Kenny (Kirsten) Bouzek of Gillette, WY, Patty Moore of Lincoln, Cassidy Kizzire (life partner Audrey) of Ames, Colton Kizzire of O’Neill, Clifford Kizzire, Harry Charles (Christine) Lampert III and Brian (Jennifer) Lampert, all of Norfolk; 22 great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law Eileen Kizzire of Scottsbluff.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clifford in 2012.
