Russellville, AR — Ivana Irene Salmans, 71, of Russellville, AR, died Tuesday, March 2, 2020 at St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock, AR.

No visitation or service is being planned.

Memorials may be made to Kindred Hospice of Russellville, AR or SMILE, Inc. in Madison.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service in Russellville, AR.

Ivana was born June 15, 1948 to Clyde and Mary Elizabeth (Brown) Rogers in Merced, CA.  

She was a chef by trade and affiliated with the Presbyterian faith.

Ivana and her late husband John were passionate about volunteerism. They received the Volunteers of the Year Award from the Norfolk Veterans Home in Nebraska and they both worked closely with Stephanie's Miracle In Loving Equine (SMILE), an organization that specializes in horseback therapy for handicapped children. Ivana was very civic-minded and community-oriented, volunteering often with the American Cancer Society and caring for animals.

 Ivana is survived by her two daughters Elizabeth Kalik of Oregon City, OR and Samantha (Gary) McDonald of Walla-Walla, WA; one son Scott Charles Brown of Riverside, CA; one granddaughter Shelby Conway; and numerous other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 29 years,John Ernest Salmans, Jr. and one grandson Shane Jones.
