Spencer — Delores "Dee" Havranek, 70, of Spencer, died Thursday, Sept. 3, 2020 at Butte Healthcare Center in Butte.

Limited visitation was held Monday, Sept. 7, 2020 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Spencer.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2020 at the church in Spencer. Fr. Joseph Sund officiated. Music was provided by organist Mary Haun and the St. Mary's Choir.

Pallbearers were Austin Havranek, Klay Fuchtman, Kerry Kopecky, Jesse Havranek, Chris Havranek and Shawn Havranek.

Honorary pallbearers were all of Dee’s nieces and nephews.

Burial was in the National Cemetery in Spencer.

Memorials may be made to the family for future designation.

Brockhaus Funeral Home in Spencer is in charge of the arrangements.

Delores was born on Jan. 29, 1950, to Joe and Agnes (Vomacka) Kopecky in Lynch. She was the fifth of six children in the family. Dee grew up in Spencer, attending Spencer Public Schools and graduating with the class of 1968. 

She attended cosmetology school in Fremont for two years. She worked over 30 years in various beauty shops throughout the Spencer community.

Dee married Randy Havranek on Nov. 27, 1971, in Spencer. Randy and Dee had two children, Todd born in 1973 and Ashley born in 1984. 

She was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Church where she was baptized, confirmed and married. She was a member of the St. Mary’s Altar Society and a rosary group. Dee was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary. 

She has six grandchildren, Kyla Fuchtman, Austin Havranek, Makinzi Havranek, Victoria, Calli, and Brianna Davis. She has one great-grandson, Krew Fuchtman.

Dee is survived by her husband of 48 years Randy Havranek of Spencer, NE; one son Todd (Sonja) and Makinzi Havranek of Grand Island; one daughter Ashley (Chris) and Calli and Brianna Davis of Bonesteel, SD; three other grandchildren Kyla  (Klay) and Krew Fuchtman of Grand Island, Austin (Lindsey) Havranek of West Poin and Victoria Davis of Tyndall, SD; five siblings George Kopecky, Darlene (Don) Cizek, Ron (Karen) Kopecky, Leonard Kopecky and Raylynn (Jeanette) Kopecky; seven in-laws Bev (Ron) Francis, Dennis (Mary Ann) Havranek, Larry (Donna) Havranek, Cork (Paula) Havranek, Dan (Lauri) Havranek, Terry Havranek and Ritch (Paige) Havranek; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Agnes Koepecky, her in-laws Alvin and Betty Havranek, one sister in law Rose Kopecky and one niece Lori Bentz.
