Cornhole

The O'Neill Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors will be hosting their eighth annual cornhole tournament on Saturday, Sept. 14 at O'Neill Community Center.

Registration will be from 11 a.m. to noon. Play begins at 1 p.m.

For ages 19 and older. Cost is $30 per team. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three teams and includes a calcutta.

"They are currently in need of $100 sponsorships for the tournament to help defray expenses," said Chamber President/CEO Lauri Havranek. "This is a great way to get your business' name in front of the players and spectators."

Checks may be sent to O'Neill Chamber Ambassadors, 125 S. 4th St., O'Neill, NE 68763.

"The tournament has brought in more than 30 teams in the past few years and we hope to top that this year," she said. "Grab a friend and come enter for an afternoon of fun and the chance to win the $500 first prize."

Spectators are welcome to cheer on the teams. There will be football games on the two big screen TVs with the Huskers kicking off against Northern Illinois at 7 p.m.

There will be freewill donation pulled pork sandwiches and chips available as well as a cash bar.
