The Relay For Life of Holt County will host its Carnival of Hope celebration from 3-8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16 at the O'Neill Community Center.

"Join us as we celebrate, remember and fight back. Plan on food, fun and more at this year's Carnival of Hope," said Stephanie Fritz, community development manager. "If you are a cancer survivor and would like to join us, you can register right up to the day of the event."

Registration will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday at the event.

Participants also may register early online at

The event will include fun games, cake walk and silent auction.

"New this year is a live pie auction featuring pies made by some of the best pie makers in Holt County. Also be sure and check out how you can win a new Traeger Tailgater Grill," Fritz said. "Relay is new and different this year and planned just for you. Spend your afternoon with us at the Relay For Life of Holt County. It is an event for everyone."

Survivors also have the option to light up the community and honor every life touched by cancer. Dedicate a luminary to a loved one lost, someone currently battling or anyone who has overcome cancer.
