NCDHD was also made aware of the first confirmed positive COVID-19 case in Boyd County. The case is in isolation at home and through investigations is deemed to have contracted the illness through community spread. All close contacts have been contacted and asked to quarantine.

NCDHD would like to remind residents that community spread is present in our area and you should assume COVI19 is present in your community. Continue to practice social distancing, good hand hygiene, and wearing a mask in public settings were social distancing can be difficult.

NCDHD would like to remind district residents that there will be a virtual community meeting regarding the planning of upcoming large events during COVID-19 on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 from 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM. NCDHD will be able to answer questions about the new Directed Health Measures and other guidance outlined effective June 1st as well as other questions that event planners may have. This meeting can be attended via conference call or Go-To-Meeting web link. You do not need to register to attend. NCDHD would also like to remind district residents that Test Nebraska will be coming to the area. One of the first testing events will be on June 2nd in Valentine at the Valentine Fire Hall from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm. Additionally, Test Nebraska will be in O’Neill on June 5th at the Holt County Roads Department maintenance building from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm.

Click the START NOW button at the top to begin and complete the questions to the best of your knowledge. Based on the answers given, it will be determined if you qualify to be tested. If you qualify, you will need to schedule your test. Directions to the clinic site will be available based on the clinic you select. Please save or print the QR code that is generated after scheduling and bring this with you to the clinic. Additional testing events will take place in the NCDHD region throughout June.
