A 36-year-old O’Neill woman pled guilty to domestic assault with intent to cause bodily injury during Holt County Court on June 6.

Deborah K. Kopecky was sentenced to 6 months probation.

According to court documents the Holt County Sheriff’s Office was called to a residence near 486th Avenue and 887th Road northeast of O’Neill to investigate the report of domestic assault.

The victim stated the defendant had allegedly attempted to strangle them several times, struck their body in several places and other violent actions.

At that time Sheriff Ben Matchett arrested Kopecky and transported her to Holt County Jail.

Originally bond was set at 10 percent of $10,000 and was later reduced to a $1,000 personal recognizance bond with conditions.
