The O'Neill Chamber of Commerce held its annual banquet last week with a good crown in attendance. Awards were given for Ambassador of the year which went to A&J Towing for their help in setting the Home Town Christmas tree for this past Christmas celebration; The customer service award went to Steve Dohnal of Ogden's Hardware. Dohnal was honored for his year's of service to the Ogden family and for his service to customers being pleasant and knowledgeable."You need to treat every customer as if they are the most important," said Dohnal. Roger Miller received the Community Service Award for his role in the aftermath of the flooding in March of 2019. KBRX radio was honored for their help in flood relief for the area. Janene Peterson received the retiring business person award. Peterson  spent 27 years in business before retiring in late 2019. The Irish Walk of Fame group received the 2020 Ambassador Award for sharing their love of the Irish Capital with those far and wide. The evening concluded with the announcement that Casey Donahew will be performing in O’Neill for Summerfest on Saturday, July 18th.
