A 53-year-old former Minden man appeared in Holt County District Court on July 8.
Daniel L. Marzolf, a prisoner at Nebraska State Penitentiary, pled guilty to possession of a controlled substance, a Class 4 felony.
Judge Mark D. Kozisek ordered the defendant to pay $250 in fines and $137 in courts costs within 180 days of the defendant’s release from prison.
The defendant is currently serving a four-year prison sentence. He is projected to be released Dec. 25, 2020. Marzolf was incarcerated for issuing a bad check $500-$1,500 and possession of controlled substance-methamphetamine, both felony charges. The charges were filed in Buffalo County.
According to court documents, the defendant was arrested Jan. 30 in Holt County. A personal recognizance bond in the amount of $5,000 was posted for Marzolf on Feb. 19.
