The O'Neill Business Boosters will be hosting the 2019 Irish 'Toberfest BBQ & Brew Pork Rib Cook Off on Saturday, Sept. 21 at Knights of Columbus Hall in O'Neill. 

Prizes include $500 for first place, $300 for second, $200 for third and $150 People's Choice.

Gates open to the public at 11 a.m. Cost is $15 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under. All you can eat ribs with beans, chips and a bottle of water. No to go orders.

Serving starts at 4 p.m. until gone. 

"Come tailgate with us. Nebraska vs. Illinois will be on the 120" big screen," said Chamber President/CEO Lauri Havranek. "There also will be canned domestics and five craft beers on tap with samples available."

No entries will be accepted after 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13. 

"There are still many levels of sponsorships available," she said. 

They include:

• $100 sponsorship — Two wristbands for free admission and your provided business banner will be hung on the fence around the cooking area.

• $150 sponsorship — Receive all of the above plus your logo printed on the back of the t-shirts.

• $250 sponsorship — Receive all of the above plus one free team entry for the event.

• $500 sponsorships — Receive all of the above plus one additional free team entry and two additional wristbands for free admission into the event.

Sponsorships must be in to the chamber office by Sept. 6.

"Talk to your friends and put together your team. Doesn't matter if you have been cooking ribs for years or just want to give it a try," Havranek said. "All levels of chefs welcome.
