Several sentencings occurred on Aug. 6 in the Holt County Court. Judge Kale B. Burdick presided.

Three individuals appeared in court for driving under the influence (DUI) charges. 

Fidel Castro Vasquez, 37, of Atkinson pled guilty to DUI-.08 breath-first offense, a Class W misdemeanor.

The defendant was sentenced to six months probation. His driver’s license was revoked for 60 days and an ignition interlock permit was ordered. 

Castro Vasquez also was ordered to pay $815 in court costs, fines, probation fees and other costs.

Abigail R. Colsden, 21, of Norfolk pled guilty to DUI-.08 breath-first offense, a Class W misdemeanor.

The defendant was sentenced to six months probation. Her driver’s license was revoked for 60 days and an ignition interlock permit was ordered. 

Colsden also was ordered to pay $815 in court costs, fines, probation fees and other costs.

Shane C. Young, 26, of Atkinson was charged with DUI-.08 breath-second offense, a Class W misdemeanor; driving on the shoulder of the highway and failure to use seat belt, both infractions.

The defendant was sentenced to 30 days in Holt County Jail with credit for one day served. Execution of his jail sentence is suspended until Aug. 19. 

His driver’s license was revoked for 18 months. The defendant was ordered not to drive for 45 days. An ignition interlock permit was ordered. 

Young also was ordered to pay $655 in court costs, fines and other costs.
