Members of the O’Neill Community Foundation presented a $2,000 check to the Director of Beginnings Pregnancy Resource Center Chair of the Board of Beginnings last week.

The grant was awarded for the purpose of strengthening families in the O’Neill area. Beginnings will use the money to expand their services to include programs called Positive Partners in Parenting, Toddler Parenting, and Life Skills. Additional services provided at the center include Pregnancy Testing, STD Testing & Treatment, Ultrasound, Pregnancy Decision Coaching, Earn While You Learn: Parenting Classes, Baby Store, Men’s Ministry, Adoption Referral, Post-Abortion Support, Public Information and Sexual Risk

Avoidance Education.

The goal of the the Center is to serve clients in all of North Central

Nebraska.

About 300 people from North Central Nebraska attended the annual fund raising banquet which helps support the Beginnings Pregnancy Resource Center. The program included recognition of volunteers, a testimonial from a client, a summary of the activities of the center, and a keynote presentation by Toneia Mayes, Centers of Excellence Senior Administrator at Care-Net, a non-profit organization that supports one of the largest networks of pregnancy centers in North America.
