The 2019 annual Summerfest celebration will be hosted from July 17-21 in O'Neill. All of the events are sponsored in part by the Holt County Visitor's Committee.

Kicking off this year's events, the O'Neill Senior Center will be hosting a "Pull Over & Pork" drive through lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 17 at the corner of Third and Douglas streets. Drive through the parking lot and pick up a pulled pork sandwich, chips and water for a quick bite. All funds will be donated to the senior center.

Summerfest t-shirts and rodeo tickets also will be available.

O'Neill Men's Club will be sponsoring the Painting of the Shamrock at Fourth and Douglas streets starting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. Bring the family and enjoy the fun and help brighten the Shamrock for the summer.

July 18

9 a.m. — Summerfest Duck Hunt begins in downtown O'Neill. One duck per household. 

July 19

All day — American Legion Area Baseball Tournaments at Schaffer Park

10 a.m. — O'Neill Area Chamber of Commerce Coffee at Pinnacle Bank

11 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Customer appreciation barbecue at BankFirst. Serving hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, cookies and refreshments with kids games and prizes.

7:30 p.m. — Mid-States Rodeo at Carney Park 

July 20

All day — American Legion Area Baseball Tournaments at Schaffer Park

8 a.m. — O'Neill FFA Chapter Color Run at O'Neill Public High School. Registration begins at 7 a.m. 

8 a.m. to 3 p.m. — Sidewalk sales in downtown O'Neill

9 a.m. — O'Neill Senior Center breakfast. Serving sausage, scrambled eggs, muffin and beverages in the south shelter of Ford Park.

11 a.m. — Chambers Sons of the Legion Loopy Walters Memorial Shoot at O'Neill Gun Club. Meals provided by North Central Trap Team.

11 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Holt County Grill will have "Grab & Go" take-out food available.

Ford Park Events

8-9 a.m. — Vendor Fair set up

9 a.m. to noon — Car show registration

9 a.m. to 4 p.m. — Vendor Fair

10 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Scavenger hunt sponsored by tHairapy. Get your first clue at the Simply Bliss booth. This event is at your own pace starting anytime during the time frame. Last clue must be turned in by 2 p.m.

11 a.m. — O'Neill Senior Center will be serving hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and beverages at the south shelter.

11 a.m. — Irish Step Dancers will perform at the basketball court

Noon — Holt County Grill team barbecue eating challenge at the gazebo

12:30 p.m. — KBRX Wooden Nickel Flip at the basketball court

1 p.m. — Turtle races at the basketball court

1 p.m. — Registration begins for Youth Pedal Pull. Ages 4-12. Prizes will be awarded to the top three winners in each age division (nine girls and nine boys divisions). 

1:30 p.m. — Youth Tractor Pedal Pull at the basketball courts. Sponsored by O'Neill Lions Club

1:30 p.m. — Free swimming at the O'Neill City Pool

2-4 p.m. — KBRX Pool Party at O'Neill City Pool

4 p.m. – Car Show Trophy presentation



5 p.m. — Show & Shine Car Show Parade through downtown O'Neill to kickoff Summerfest Cruise Night

5:30 p.m. Cruise Night begins in downtown O'Neill

6 p.m. — Parking lot party at Dairy Queen

7:30 p.m. — Mid-States Rodeo at Carney Park

9 p.m. to 1 a.m. — Street Dance at O'Neill Community Center parking lot featuring "Back Road Spirits" 

July 21

All day — American Legion Area Baseball Tournaments at Schaffer Park

10 a.m. — Church in the Park at Ford Park. The event will feature nationally known recording artists "Tribute." One of the country's most dynamic male quartets in all of Gospel music. In case of inclement weather, the event will be moved to  O'Neill Community Center.

11 a.m. to 3 p.m. — Sunday Funday at Holt County Grill. 

11:45 a.m. — Barbecue at Ford Park
